Norway 2026
At the end of May 2026 we made a ten-day trip along the fjords of Norway, starting and ending in Ålesund.
From Ålesund we visited the bird island of Runde, with the gannets on the cliffs, and drove the Atlantic Road
to Kristiansund. Via the Trollstigen, Gudbrandsjuvet and Ørnesvingen we reached Geiranger, where we took the boat across the
Geirangerfjord past the Seven Sisters. Across the snowy Strynefjellet we went to the Bøyabreen and Supphellebreen glaciers
near Fjærland and to Nigardsbreen, and past the Kaupanger stave church, the Sognefjord and the Gaularfjellet
back to the north, along Jølstravatnet and Hornindalsvatnet. On the last day we visited the Atlantic Sea Park aquarium
and the Alnes lighthouse.
