Because Microsoft stopped distributing their expenses tool and I don't like the alternatives I have seen, I have programmed a little thing myself. This freeware program is called Easy Expenses.
Easy Expenses is mainly focussed on logging expenses. It is meant to be simple and easy to use. Easy Expenses is not designed as a complete finance management program and never will be. If you want to use Easy Expenses for this purpose, you have to export the data and process it in a program like Microsoft Excel.

Command line options:
| -f filename | Starts the program with the specified database. |
| -d foldername | Sets the folder for the defaults- and logfile. The defaults file contains the settings for currencies, categories and more. |
| -qe | Quick Edit: Immediately opens a new entry using the quick edit method. |
| -sqe | Super Quick Edit: Same as Quick Edit, but program closes after entering the new item. |

- Added command line parameter for data folder: when an existing folder path is used as a command line parameter (in a shortcut), this folder will be used as the database location.
